Rubbish Removal Franchise"
A few years ago I thought about buying a
rubbish franchise. There
were several
available. Those 1300 guys with the red trucks and nice uniforms and then that Canadian franchise mob 1800got****, yeah the ones that used to put up signs on the power poles and pay backpackers to wear silly blue wigs and wave at people in the traffic. They both have very good websites which include media pages and press releases!!! So I looked through their sites and they wanted between $75,000 and $125,000 to start up and then ongoing fees for administration and the like. I presume that as with most franchises they are 5 x 5 arrangements so you'd have to cough up another 50 - 100k or so in five years time. After I gave myself an uppercut I decided to give it a miss and work anywhere that I like. And besides I don't need a press agent after all, I remove rubbish I'm not Mel Gibson. Anyway I believe that Max Markson was busy handling the Lara Bingle - Michael Clarke split up! The irony of this is that during the last recession, (GFC) one of these franchise blokes rang me and said that they would do all my rubbish jobs for me and pay me $5 per cubic metre or something. He seemed like a decent guy. I'm sure that they wouldn't have taken any of my clients or nicked my work permanently. Pity the poor guys that bought their franchises though, they obviously had no work either. Their system isn't as bullet proof as their marketing suggests! They must think that I came down with the last shower of rain or something!  I told him that I'd think about it and I did for all of five minutes, then I asked my friend Chris to build me this website.
